This recipe is incredibly dear to us. We grew up making these butter tarts with our Mom, Aunts and Grandma on our family farm in High River, Alberta. Flaky pastry and caramelized butter filling baked with both raisins and currants. Why both raisins and currants? Because we couldn't decide which we liked better, and it turns out the combo is really tasty.

Note, while this product doesn't contain nuts, we are not a nut free bakery.
