Responsibilities:
• Preparation: Measure and mix ingredients to prepare batters, yeasted doughs, cookies, bars and icings according to recipes. • Baking: Operate ovens, and other bakery equipment to bake cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and other baked goods. • Quality Control: Ensure that products meet our high standards of quality and consistency. • Creativity: Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing and creative manner. • Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow health and safety regulations. • Inventory: Monitor ingredients and supplies. • Customer Interaction: Occasionally assist customers with special orders or provide information about our products.
The essentials:
• Experience: Prior experience as a baker or in a related field is preferred. • Skills: Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment. • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain consistency in product quality. • Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for long periods and handling the physical demands of the job. • Creativity: A passion for baking and an eye for design and presentation. Cake and cupcake decorating experience an asset. • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
