Crave opened in September 2004 with a passion for baking. We bake today, the same way we started, from scratch each morning cracking every egg. The best part of our day is sharing our cupcakes, cakes, and cookies with our customers. Crave is located in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Kelowna. This position works alongside our retail bakery team, with the direction from the On-Site Manager, to create a warm, welcoming Crave experience for every guest. We are looking for a baker who takes pride in creating high-quality products from scratch, works well in a fast-paced team environment, and brings care, consistency, and creativity to every batch.
Your Roles and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Full cycle baking – prepping ingredients to mixing, baking and decorating • Cake decoration with a variety of piping techniques such as shell, pearl and ruffle borders • Creating open communication between the bakery and retail • Ensuring Crave product quality and consistency • Understand and support the Crave values and vision • Maintain weekday and weekend availability • Practice food safety & store maintenance • Offer retail support when needed
We are looking for someone who:
• Loves cupcakes, cookies and cakes as much as we do! • Thrives in a fast-paced, team environment • Can safely perform repetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling, including frequently lifting and carrying up to 9 kg and occasionally up to 22 kg • Has strong organizational skills • Is a great communicator • Loves to decorate cakes and cupcakes • Has a minimum of 2 to 3 years of bakery and cake decorating experience
Availability:
Candidates should be available for bakery shifts, including a mix of weekdays, weekends, and holiday periods as Crave needs require.
