Store Manager CeCe's Coffee Hillhurst
Crave was born in September 2004 out of a simple passion, baking from scratch with heart and hustle (yes, we still crack every single egg by hand). Each morning begins with the hum of mixers and the smell of something sweet, and by the time our ovens cool, our favourite moment arrives—sharing cupcakes, cakes, cookies and now coffee. We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic manager to lead our CeCe’s Coffee Shop. Key responsibilities:

Store Operations:
• Manage daily operations to ensure the smooth running of the coffee shop.
• Maintain high standards of product quality and store cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.

Customer Service & Interaction:
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs and resolving any issues promptly.
• Foster a friendly and inviting environment for customers and staff.
• Interact with customers to provide information about products and gather feedback.
• Ensure a positive and welcoming environment in the cafe.

Team Leadership:
• Hire, train, and manage staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Schedule shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.
• Work in partnership with the Crave Manager to ensure smooth operations between Crave Bakery and CeCe’s Coffee Shop

CeCe’s Coffee and Baking Quality:
• Dial and taste drip coffee and espresso daily to maintain consistent flavour, extraction and brew quality.
• Work with Crave Manager to ensure CeCe’s baking and house-made syrups are prepared and well stocked.

Sales and Marketing:
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer traffic.
• Promote Crave and CeCe products through in-store promotions and community engagement.
• Work with team when hosting CeCe’s events, such as YYC Chocolate Fest, classes etc.

Financial Management:
• Monitor sales performance and manage the store's budget.
• Ensure proper handling of cash, credit, and other transactions.

This position will be responsible to our leadership team and will report directly to Crave’s Director of Operations.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in a management role, in a coffee shop setting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Passion for coffee.
