Crave is Hiring a Bakery Manager for Our First Coffee Shop Bakery in Kelowna!
Since opening in 2004, Crave has been committed to baking from scratch every morning—cracking every egg and creating delicious treats with care. Now, we’re thrilled to bring that same passion to our first-ever coffee shop bakery in Kelowna!
We’re searching for a dedicated Bakery Manager to help create an exceptional experience for our customers and team. If you have experience in a coffee shop or café setting, love baked goods, and thrive in a welcoming, community-driven environment, this role is for you!
You take pride in presentation—keeping things neat, orderly, and safe. You understand that the best reward is a genuine thank-you from a satisfied customer. As Bakery Manager, you’ll work closely with the Café/Retail Manager to cultivate a warm and inviting space where people love to gather.

Key Responsibilities:
• Production Management: Oversee the daily preparation, baking, and finishing of cakes, cupcakes, cookies and specialty items.
• Quality Control: Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation align with company standards.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate bakery staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment. Work closely and collaboratively with the Retail/Cafe Manager
• Inventory & Ordering: Manage stock levels, place orders, and minimize waste.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety standards and cleanliness protocols.
• Creative Development: Collaborate on new recipes, seasonal offerings, and customer trends.
• Cross-training: Work with the Retail/Café Manager to understand and support responsibilities of role
• Travel Availability: Travel to Calgary 4-5 times a year for company meetings
This position will be responsible to our leadership team based in Calgary and will report directly to Crave’s Director of Operations.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in bakery operations and leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
• Ability to manage production schedules and maintain workflow efficiency.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Passion for customer satisfaction and high-quality baked goods.
