The Biscuits are Back!

“Ted, it’s going to work. Total Football. And I’ll tell you why: The Lasso Way. You’ve done this over three seasons by slowly but surely building a club-wide culture of trust and support through thousands of imperceptible moments all leading to their inevitable conclusion. Total Football. It’s gonna work.”

- Trent Crimm, no longer of The Independent

Watching Ted Lasso has brought our team tons of joy, but also a lot of learning!

Our Co-Founders Carolyne and Jodi are big fans of Ted Lasso - they find the show to be a great source of inspiration for leading by example through compassion, optimism, and relationship-building. They have introduced the show to many of our staff members and it resonates with our team for a few reasons: At Crave, we believe in choosing kindness and connecting with others. In short - we agree with Trent Crimm, The Lasso way is going to work.

Back in March, to celebrate the Season 3 premiere of Ted Lasso, we launched a limited edition shortbread cookie -  our take on Ted and Rebecca’s “Biscuits with the Boss.” We were blown away by the excitement and sweet responses surrounding the launch of this new product.  We heard from many Ted Lasso fans -  from those watching for the very first time to superfans who were on their third rewatch. A customer working in the psychology field even reached out to say: “I’m a mental health therapist and this is the epitome of connection and kindness. Thanks so much Crave.”

Our biscuits are back for the Season 3 finale of Ted Lasso! Thank you to everyone who shared their love of Ted Lasso with us, and to everyone who brought our “Biscuits with the Boss” into their workplaces and homes. At Crave, we believe in choosing kindness and finding time for togetherness. Crave exists to help people connect, and we’re so glad that our biscuits allowed us to be part of your conversations - or served as the perfect treat to watch the show.

The relationships between characters in the show continue to touch our hearts and inspire us to be the best versions of ourselves, on and off the pitch (or in this case, bakery). Our Co-Founders Jodi and Carolyne have been inspired by the development of Ted and Rebecca’s relationship throughout the show. Ted’s biscuits brought the two characters closer together and inspired open communication and mutual understanding. This got us thinking about ways we could incorporate Ted’s “Biscuits with the Boss” into our own lives. As such, we’ve decided to launch “Cookies with the Co-Founders” here at Crave! This initiative will give Jodi and Carolyne a chance to connect with Crave employees over a box of delicious biscuits and a beverage of choice!

We also think baking is a great way to find time for togetherness! If you’d like to bring a little bit of Ted into your own life (or kitchen), see our recipe for “Biscuits with the Boss” below!
